Damascus countryside - SANA
The Directorate of Agriculture in Rif Dimashq Governorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Association for Social Development, implemented an agricultural project in the regions of Douma and Zabadani, targeting 666 beneficiaries, who were selected according to criteria and conditions specified by the donor organization.
The Director of Agriculture, Eng. Irfan Ziadeh, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the beneficiaries underwent small gardening training, so that they could follow good agricultural practices and how to take care of the home garden and benefit from it, in addition to advanced and expanded agricultural training on entrepreneurship and how to establish an agricultural project, after which they will be provided with a small project grant. In a way that contributes to supporting the agricultural sector in Zabadani and Duma.
Ziyadah pointed out that 50 women were selected by the donor organization based on the previous criteria to benefit from the agricultural bags, in addition to criteria that show their commitment to small gardening training, based on the assessments of the trainers and the association’s team who are with them to follow up and find out their ability to commit to the subsequent trainings.
