Homs Health Director: Monitoring dozens of suspected cases during the National Cancer Screening Campaign

Homs, SANA- Director of Homs Health Directorate, Dr. Muhammad Musallam al-Atassi revealed that dozens of suspected cases were monitored during the national campaign

Homs Health Director Dr. Muhammad Musallam al-Atassi revealed that dozens of suspected cases had been monitored during the national cancer screening campaign in Homs governorate, from its inception on November 19 until December 25.

And the National Cancer Control Program stated on its official page on the social networking site Facebook that, according to Dr. Al-Atassi, 587 suspected cases of prostate infection, 176 suspected cases of cervical infection, and 94 suspected cases of breast infection were monitored, explaining that many of the cases were found to be healthy, while Other cases require further testing to rule out or confirm infection.

Dr. Al-Atassi indicated that the medical staff in the Health Directorate and the Military Hospital are the ones that study the samples received from the accredited centers and identify the suspected cases. Case in accordance with the standardized protocol approved by the National Cancer Control Committee.
