Southwest airlines, one of the most affected, reportedly canceled almost 11,000 trips since the start of the storm

Winter storm Elliot, which killed at least 60 people in the United States, continues to wreak havoc on air traffic, with thousands of flights cancelled.

The situation was complicated by a new cold front affecting the west coast, causing snow and rain.

Southwest Airlines, one of the most affected, canceled more than 60% of its flights on Tuesday.

It is estimated that since the start of the storm, this company has canceled at least 11,000 trips.

The delays have caused a chain reaction affecting customers across the country as there are not enough staff to reschedule seats.

In New York and Buffalo, the parts hardest hit by Elliot, the weather has begun to improve, allowing some roads to reopen.

In parallel, the new storm has left thousands of people in Oregon, Washington and California without electricity.
