There, free-lancer Kiko is now waiting for a new home.
Hopefully forever.
Nuremberg – There are a wide variety of reasons why animals end up in animal shelters.
Sometimes they are rescued from illegal puppy transporters or rescued from poor husbandry.
Even if the owner dies, the animal shelter is often the only option.
It also happens that owners simply abandon their pets because they are overwhelmed.
In this case, the cat was given up for cost reasons, as reported by the Nuremberg animal shelter.

The animal shelter tries to find a new home for Kiko via a mediation call on Facebook.
Since his owners gave him up, the cat no longer understands the world.
He was "totally sweet and cuddly".
He would like to have "a new, rural home as a free roamer as soon as possible!" At home he would like to be the sole prince.
"Who will give him a forever home?" Ask the animal rights activists at the end of the post.

“Soon there will only be pets for the rich”
In the comments, many wish the four-legged friend "all the best" and "good luck".
Some cannot understand why the animal was given away for cost reasons.
"No matter how tight it gets, none of our animals ever come to the shelter, they are always taken care of," writes one.
Another user complains: "Soon there will only be pets for the rich, great".
Not only Kiko is waiting for a new home in the Nuremberg animal shelter.
