The Arab Theater Authority chose the tenth of January, corresponding to the anniversary of its founding in 2008, to be the day to celebrate the father of arts in various Arab countries.
On this occasion, the Iraqi director, Dr. Jawad Al-Asadi, gave the commission's speech this year, which was published on its official website, in which he paid tribute to the legends of international playwrights such as Grotowski, Peter Brook, Joseph Sheineh, Yuri Libimov, and Everest.
Al-Asadi explained the importance of directing and the vital role of directors such as Shakespeare, Jean Genet, Beckett, Marlowe and Bulgakov, who wove theatrical stories on an innovative, quiet visual fire in a soft and soft hearth, where the mind lights up and the spirit transcends.
Al-Asadi referred to the main role played by the actor on the stage, indicating that he is the soul of the theater and the secret of its secrets, and he rewrites his voice and body with an innovative expressive and signal intensity away from the market museum and the free representation of the market.
Al-Asadi talked about the difficult conditions that the Arab theater suffered from in general, which caused the emigration of large numbers of men of culture, including cinematographers, playwrights, plastic artists and musicians, to countries other than their own.
At the end of his speech, Al-Asadi hoped that this year would be a year of theater that lights up the paths with a flourishing audience that gathers again in front of the box office.
