The Russian Embassy in Hungary condemned the statements of US Ambassador David Pressman about Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing these statements as "outrageous and a flagrant violation of diplomatic practice."
“The US ambassador to Hungary made unacceptable statements on the 6th of this month about President Putin, which are a flagrant violation of the foundations of protocol and diplomatic practice,” TASS news agency quoted the Russian embassy in Hungary as saying on its “Telegram” channel.
The Russian embassy recommended that the US ambassador “compensate for the lack of professionalism in the field of diplomacy.”
According to a report on the website of the US Embassy in Budapest on the 6th of this month, Pressman spoke in a church in Budapest about the crisis in Ukraine, and described the Russian president as "holding on to the past, claiming that he started the war."
