Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that Estonia's decision to reduce the number of diplomats and technical staff in the Russian embassy will not go unanswered.
“Estonia is one of the most hostile countries towards Russia, and its enmity there has been elevated to the rank of official doctrine,” Zakharova was quoted as saying by the Novosti agency.
Zakharova noted that Estonia once again wants to please the coordinators abroad.
The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier informed the Russian ambassador to Tallinn of its decision, according to which Russia must reduce the number of employees in the embassy, starting from February 1 of this year.
