US President Joe Biden acknowledged Sunday that his country could not achieve justice and equality among its citizens.
"The latter's dream of achieving equality and justice has not yet been realized," Biden said today from inside the Ebenezer Church in Atlanta, Georgia, in which Martin Luther King was leading the prayer.
Biden touched on the speech (I have a dream), the most famous speech delivered by Martin Luther King, who is a symbol of the struggle for civil rights and the fight against racial discrimination, and who was assassinated in Memphis in 1968.
Biden said, “The task of our time remains to make this dream a reality, because it has not yet been achieved,” noting that there is still a lot of work to do for economic justice, civil rights, and the right to vote.
