This is the end of the galley for the 87,000 daily users of Tice buses.

After three weeks of strike, an agreement was reached this Friday evening between the management of this public transport company which covers 20 municipalities in Essonne and the inter-union (Sud Solidaires, FO, CGT, Usapie and CFE CGC).

From this Sunday morning, the service on the 19 lines of the company will again be fully assured.

The social movement was launched on January 3 following the mandatory annual negotiation.

The unions were demanding a 12% increase in the base salary index point.

Management proposed a 3% increase, as well as the payment of the sharing bonus of 1,000 euros for 90% of employees.

Users will be compensated

At the end of this Friday's meeting, a compromise was reached on a 4% increase in wages, as well as the transport bonus, which goes from 16 to 32 euros per month and per employee.

“It's a definitive way out of the crisis, rejoices Mohamed Khoutoul, the general manager of Tice.

In order to have a peaceful social dialogue, and so that the employees do not find themselves financially asphyxiated at the end of the month, we are going to spread the days of strike until June.

Axel Parsade, FO union delegate, is delighted with this “small victory”: “4% is always better than 3% even if we are far from what we asked for at the start.

We have always announced that we were ready to make an effort, if the management did the same.

And an agreement had to be found, both for the users and for the employees who were beginning to get impatient.

This is the first time that there has been such a social movement in this company.

And that is a great victory.

As previously announced by Tice management, users who have been impacted by the strike will be reimbursed.
