At around 0:00 in the morning, officers from the New Territories South Traffic Task Force of the police were driving a police car on Tsing Kwai Highway for patrol. When the car reached the junction of Tai Tong Road and Shiba Heung Road, there was a car blocking the traffic light due to a red light. The suspicious car "clamped hard" into the car in front and tried to break through the gap, but failed. The two landed and fled in opposite directions.

It is reported that the driver, surnamed Wang, is 42 years old.
The police called drug detection dogs to the scene to assist in the search, but no prohibited items were found in the car. However, after investigation, it was learned that the vehicle involved was not registered in Hong Kong, and the driver did not have a driving license.
At the same time, during the pursuit, the suspicious vehicle involved in the case repeatedly ran red lights, drove against the lane, cut double white lines, etc., plus speeding, and the speed was as high as 180 kilometers per hour. He tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine, but the driver declined to offer further blood tests.
The police arrested the driver on charges of "driving without a license", "driving an unregistered vehicle", "driving without third party insurance", "refusing to provide a blood sample" and "dangerous driving".
