Today, the Ministry of Defense of the Ukrainian regime announced the resignation of the Deputy Minister of Defense and a number of senior Ukrainian officials, due to a corruption scandal linked to procurement of supplies for the army, according to news agencies.
And the French Press Agency quoted a statement from the ministry as saying: “Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov, responsible for logistics services for the Ukrainian forces, resigned after the procurement issue was revealed,” explaining that “Shapovalov submitted his resignation so as not to pose a threat to the stable supplies of the Ukrainian forces, as a result of a campaign of accusations related to the purchase of Food services.
The statement pointed out that "Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov agreed to the request of his deputy, and directed a proposal to the government to do so."
In turn, reports indicated that among the resigned officials were Assistant Director of the Presidential Administration Kirillo Tymoshenko and Deputy Prosecutor General Oleksiy Simonenko, in connection with the corruption scandal.
