The motion joins the motion of no confidence submitted by the Labor faction earlier this week, in which the faction cited the works that took place at the Netanyahu family home on Saturday, at the expense of public funds, as a central reason for the overthrow of the government, which acts hypocritically in front of the public.
At the beginning of the week, in a statement published by the Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar, it was stated that the state will immediately stop subsidizing the events of the "Israeli Sabbath" project throughout the country.
The announcement provoked much criticism, and the next day the minister sought to clarify his words and said that he does not intend to cancel events or deny funding to cultural institutions that operate on Shabbat.
He also claimed that it was a "false media spin".
