The indictment states that the employee, who served as a technician at a subsidiary of Bank Mizrahi, worked for several months and when he came to deal with malfunctions at the ATMs, he managed to steal the large amount of money. The cumulative amount - more than NIS 1.2 million

An indictment was filed today (Sunday) against a security employee of Mizrahi Tefahot Bank who is accused of stealing approximately one and a quarter million shekels from the bank's funds.

The theft took place over several months and on several different occasions, when we were called to deal with malfunctions in the bank's cash registers.



The indictment states that Alexander Rosenstein, 45 years old from Petach Tikva, committed the acts while working as a technician at the bank's subsidiary responsible for the bank's security system and the transfer of funds, called Mizrahi Tefahot Security Services.



For about two months, between the months of November and January of last year - Rosenstein managed to steal no less than one million and a quarter shekels from the machines he repaired.

This, despite the location of the ATMs that were placed in central centers in the country.

Among other things, the accused stole about 400,000 shekels from an ATM located at Bar Ilan University, from the ATM in a mall in Ramat Aviv he stole over half a million shekels on two different occasions, and from the ATMs at the central station in Jerusalem and in Bisharu Modi'in he managed to steal several tens of thousands of shekels.

It also appears that in another case, while he was employed as a technician on duty at the bank's national call center in Lod, he entered the safe and stole approximately NIS 150,000.

In this case, after he was caught - he returned NIS 119,000 to the bank.
