The Civil Guard rules out gender violence and points to a discussion as the cause of the crime, in which a 44-year-old woman has died

A 44-year-old woman of Dominican nationality was stabbed to death on Monday afternoon in Pezuela de las Torres, a town located at the eastern end of Madrid, bordering the province of Guadalajara and with just 825 inhabitants.

The crime occurred inside a hostess club in the municipal area of the town, some 60 kilometers east of the capital.

The Civil Guard investigates the facts, rules out that it is a case of gender violence and points to a discussion as the cause of the homicide.

So far, there have been no arrests.

As explained by spokespersons for Emergencies Madrid 112 and the armed institute, 112 received a call around 4:20 p.m. warning that a strong discussion and a brawl was taking place in a hostess club.

Upon the arrival of the Civil Guard patrol, the agents located a woman who had several stab wounds.

The toilets carried out resuscitation work for 30 minutes inside the establishment, but it was impossible to recover her.

In addition, a psychologist from 112 intervened because there was a relative of the woman who required medical assistance due to an anxiety crisis.

The woman's body, says the spokeswoman, has been transferred to the Forensic Anatomical Institute of Madrid to perform an autopsy.

The investigation, carried out by the Paracuellos del Jarama Judicial Police Team, is still open.

For the moment, what the Civil Guard does rule out is that it is a case of gender violence and points to a discussion as the cause of the homicide, which may have a sexual motivation behind the crime.

In this sense, it is about confirming if the victim was a club worker.

According to the first investigations, the perpetrator of the homicide, who used a knife, is a man, while more people were involved in the brawl.

The Civil Guard is now focused on locating them.

"We investigate the authorship and we do not know the nationality of the aggressor or aggressors," adds the same source.
