A judge has sentenced Morad's ex-girlfriend, Carolina C., to nine months in prison for stabbing a woman with whom the rapper also had a relationship.

The events occurred on June 27, 2021 at the singer's house, in the Plaza de Europa in L'Hospitalet (Barcelona).

Morad's couple, who lived with him at that address, arrived at the disco at 7:30 a.m. and, finding him in bed with another woman, took a kitchen knife and stabbed her five times. that EL PAÍS has accessed.

"I was blinded," explained the defendant in the trial that was held against her for a crime of aggravated injuries, which is punishable by between two and five years in prison.

The sentence imposed was finally lower, nine months in prison, for a temporary mental disorder.

When she saw "how her partner was in bed with another woman, she suffered a temporary episode of outburst," says the head of criminal court number 16 in Barcelona, Sonia Monserrate.

Hours before, in addition, she had consumed alcohol and cocaine in the disco with some of her friends, as she detailed in her oral hearing.

The attack was by surprise, while the girl and Morad were sleeping in bed.

Carolina R. went to the kitchen, where she picked up a 13-centimeter knife, and returned to the bedroom.

She inflicted "about five stab wounds" on the victim's left arm, hip, chest area, and left armpit.

When she saw that the girl was badly injured and bleeding, she tried to remedy it.

She "helped her by placing some towels" and pressing to stop the bleeding and called the ambulance, as she considers her sentence to be proven.

Months later, she paid various sums of money to compensate her and in her trial she assured that she "regrets" what happened.

The statements of the two women and of Morad make it possible to reconstruct the facts, although the versions do not completely coincide.

The rapper, who testified as a witness at the trial, said that the defendant was his partner at the time but that "he was also with Sofía."

The girlfriend assured, instead, that she "did not know that she had another parallel relationship" and that is why she was furious when she saw him with another girl.

Regarding the aggression, Morad explained that he had already finished everything when he woke up, so he did not have to intervene.

The victim, on the other hand, affirmed that Morad was the one who took the knife from her assailant's hands and "made Carolina stop stabbing her."

Morad said that his girlfriend did not lash out at him at any time and explained that he left home because he had "problems with the police", problems that still haunt him today: after being banished from the La Florida neighborhood of L'Hospitalet for court order, last week he was arrested after an altercation over a traffic discussion with local police officers from that municipality.

In addition to the nine-month prison sentence, the judge has imposed a ban on the defendant from approaching or communicating with the victim for four years.

The victim said that Carolina entered the room yelling "I'm going to kill you, son of a bitch" and she specified that she is still undergoing psychological treatment in France, where she lives.
