Syrian students in a number of countries around the world organized solidarity stands to support support campaigns for those affected by the repercussions of the earthquake, and to appeal to the international community to lift the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria.

The head of the National Union of Syrian Students, Darren Suleiman, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the voice of students abroad is an important, active and influential voice, and it is directed to Western public opinion, to those claiming humanity, and to the leaders of flashy slogans such as human rights and others, indicating that Syria is affected by an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. However, we find that these regimes were unable to separate politics from the human dimension.

Suleiman pointed out that the catastrophe exposed their lies and arguments, and everything they called in the name of freedom and human rights, in the name of international law in their war against Syria.

Suleiman praised the internal Syrian scene, which is exemplary in solidarity and sacrifice to help the affected people. The Syrian government, civil society, organizations and federations were able to accelerate and take the initiative to respond quickly to mitigate the effects of the earthquake that struck the affected governorates.

During his participation in the stand, Ambassador Dr. Bassam Darwish, head of the Syrian diplomatic mission to Egypt, said: “We have to be one hand, and help in any way and manner to express our solidarity with our beloved homeland Syria. Motherland".

In turn, Abdullah Al-Junaid, head of the Union branch in Egypt, stressed that the earthquake was a humanitarian catastrophe, and the international community must show solidarity with Syria and lift the unjust coercive measures imposed on its people.

Solidarity stands included India, Armenia, Egypt, Spain and Hungary.
