Former US Vice President Mike Pence has been subpoenaed by the special counsel investigating Donald Trump and his role in the January 6, 2021 insurrection, a source told CNN.
Jack Smith's office is seeking documents and testimony related to Jan. 6, according to the source.
They want him to testify about his interactions with Trump before the election and on January 6.
There have been months of negotiations leading up to this subpoena, as CNN previously reported.
