The branches of the National Union of Syrian Students in Romania and Bulgaria delivered two separate statements to the European Commission calling on it to lift the sanctions and the unjust blockade on Syria completely and immediately.
The two statements emphasized that the illegal sanctions and coercive measures against Syria prevent aid from reaching the country and providing the necessary equipment to search for survivors under the rubble following the devastating earthquake that hit Syria.
The two statements were delivered by Firas Mahfoud, head of the Union branch in Romania, and Youssef Abdel Rahman, head of the Union branch in Bulgaria.
