A bus loaded with migrants, coming from the Darién, fell off a cliff just as it arrived at the Los Planes shelter in the district of Gualaca, in the province of Chiriquí, Panama.
The director of the National Migration Service, Samira Gozaine, confirmed the news to CNN, without offering details on the deaths or injuries.
According to the official, the driver passed the entrance and when he returned he fell off a precipice.
He said that the security forces travel to the accident area.
In Los Planes de Gualaca is the Migration shelter, where migrants who previously entered through the Darién jungle are housed.
