The whole of Wiessee is wailing because after the Gasthof zur Post closed, there is no longer a village inn.
So three neighbors from the quaint village square in Altwiessee pitched in and quickly opened the "Oidwiessäa Dorfwirt" on Shrove Monday.
About 40 neighbors attended.
Bad Wiessee - Christa Höß (Manglhof), Steffi Erlacher (Moarhof) and Maria Strillinger (Steinbrecherhof) invited every single neighboring family in writing with a lot of humor.
"Mia san koa Freihaus with the lobster, but three different brummers," Christa advertised the festival.
"Mia san aa koa kisses baby with us at the Schpaa - we have a hoid a Würschtl-Bar!", Steffi wrote.
And Maria rhymed: "There's Dagansaa from the bottle, mia ghean ja ned to the silly wash."
Carnival fun in Altwiessee: Proceeds for a good cause
Exactly at 11.02 a.m. the exuberant Shrove Monday fun started.
There were sausages and pretzels with drinks for a mini price, and then coffee and cake for free.
"I find the great commitment of the triumvirate very commendable," confessed Ferdinand von Miller from the neighboring Sterneggerhof, who enjoyed the carnival activities in front of the four-generation house Manglhof with other family members in wonderful weather.
Since the promenade leads past the rustic village square, many holidaymakers also enjoyed the lively get-together.
The proceeds from the event go to a charitable cause.
