Jorge Capitanich does not get out of the electoral fight: "To be President you do not have to ask for permission"

The governor of Chaco maintained that the Frente de Todos remains united and anticipated that he plans to tour the country with "a government plan."

With the election year now definitely underway, names of candidates to succeed Alberto Fernández are emerging in both the pro-government and opposition coalitions.

In the list of the Frente de Todos, in which even the current President has a place, Jorge Capitanich

appears

, who confirmed this Sunday that he is willing to fight.

Although it seems that it is difficult for him to say a resounding "yes", the governor of Chaco stated that he wants to be part of the dance of names when it comes to debating who will lead the ruling party's presidential ticket.

"Sometimes a candidacy in itself arouses enthusiasm, other times not. We have to be humble. Humble in the construction and humble in the dialogue with the citizenry. When they ask me if I am going to be a candidate or not, what I say is that I am not going to exclude myself from the national debate," said Cristina Kirchner's former chief of staff in an interview on

Radio10

.

"And in order not to exclude myself from that debate, the first thing I plan to propose is to go out and

walk with a government plan

. Discuss with all Argentines and Argentines in all parts of the country," he added.

After highlighting that "in Peronism there are ideas, there are projects, there is political will" and stating that the Frente de Todos has to "win the elections and do it together, working for a common cause", Capitanich was exhaustive: "To be president

, You have to ask for permission

. You have to ask permission from the people, who manifest through their will if one can be or not".

And he remarked that everyone wants to win the election, "but you don't have to win to beat your adversary. You have to win to solve people's problems: access a good-quality formal job, improve wages."

Regarding the ideas that he would seek to apply if he were president, or that he at least wants to discuss, Capitanich said that several of them can be found in a book that he will begin to publish from the first days of March.

"It's called '

Argentina deserves more. The construction of a federal country. The virtuous circle of development

.'

In a path that he has already traveled on other occasions when he criticized the centralism of the City of Buenos Aires in relation to co-participating funds, Capitanich repeated what model he is looking for for the nation: "You cannot live in a suffocating, unitary country. We have

to build a federal country

. We have to build a productive culture. Enough of unitary, financial and speculative centralism".

Finally, after highlighting "the strengthening of unity" that he perceived at the meeting of the Peronist political table called by Alberto Fernández last week, the governor ratified the importance of the figure of Cristina Kirchner, both within the ruling party and in the mainstream political scene.

"It cannot be denied that Cristina Kirchner exercises political centrality in our space and in Argentine politics. First, because she was president twice. Second, because she was definitely the builder of this political front that made Macri win over. And third, because there is an excessive attack by the judiciary with the aim of proscribing it," he argued.
