Dozens of supporters of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, confronted protesters on Monday demanding the early and optional withdrawal of 30% of the funds from the Pension Fund Administrators to face the crisis over the pandemic.
The clashes, which arose in the vicinity of the Congress in Santo Domingo, led to disturbances with stones in which the Police had to intervene.

The disorders originated when the authorities tried to prevent the protesters from passing, who approached President Abinader when he was approaching the National Congress facilities to deliver his accountability speech.
