The Senate, with a majority on the right, is determined to change the pension bill, in particular on three major points.
First of all, the LR senators want to restore the rights of mothers, the big losers of the current reform.
Indeed, with the postponement of the legal age, women who have brought up their children while continuing to work lose the benefit of their quarters acquired in respect of maternity, which de facto no longer serve them any purpose.
"It's a red line. We do not want the reform to be done on the backs of mothers. They are essential to the pay-as-you-go system, inseparable from the demographic question, ”
says Bruno Retailleau, president of the LR group in the Senate.
Fight against fraud
Failing to allow mothers to leave earlier, the objective would be to grant them a pension "bonus", because if maternity today creates fewer career interruptions, it remains penalizing on the professional development of women and so their progress...
