Today, China called on the United States to immediately stop unjustified pressure on Chinese companies, stressing that it will take the necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of these companies.
This came in a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, commenting on the US imposition of export restrictions against a number of Chinese companies, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
The ministry said: “The United States, under the pretext of what is called protecting the international system and national security, is suppressing and restricting the activities of companies and organizations from different countries, including China, and this represents a violation of the rights and interests of institutions, and destroys the security and stability of global production and supply chains, and impedes the recovery and development of the global economy.” Stressing that Beijing strongly opposes this.
Yesterday, the US Department of Commerce announced the imposition of export restrictions on 37 companies, including a Russian company, a Belarusian company, and about 30 Chinese companies, due to its association with the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
