The Life Skills Team of the Homs Culture Directorate, with the participation of the Happy Magic Band, organized recreational activities and events, targeting 60 children and adolescents, to distance them from the negative psychological effects of the earthquake and help them return to their normal lives.
The activity that took place in the courtyard of the shelter center included musical, singing, dancing, and cartoon characters that shared moments of fun, play, and dancing with the children.
Saba Wassouf, head of the Life Skills Team in Homs, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the children and young people played with their companions in the shelter center in an atmosphere of fun, laughter and singing, within entertainment groups, in a step to replace the bad experience with new memories.
Wassouf drew attention to the participation of children with disabilities in the activities, which included discussions about aspects of psychological support, overcoming their difficult circumstances and helping them to fully restore their normal lives.
A number of children participating in the event expressed their enjoyment of the dance performances and competitions, accompanied by their beloved cartoon characters, which brought joy to their hearts.
