Bayrischzell

– The Bayrischzell municipal council has already discussed a lot about the sanitary facilities of the cross-country skiing center at the Stocker car park.

The topic was on the agenda again at the most recent meeting.

This time it was about how to proceed with regard to the rented toilet container.

The result was a renewed debate about the location of a possible cross-country trail house.

As reported, a toilet building was originally supposed to be erected on the Stocker for the cross-country skiing season.

Since the construction on the property of the Bavarian State Forests could no longer be implemented in time for the start of winter and, on top of that, the necessary approval was missing, the decision was made to rent the container in question, explained Managing Director Josef Acher.

Cost: 330 euros per month.

The water connection is via the winter room, and a waste water tank has also been installed.

Three suggestions from the panel

There were different opinions in the council on how to proceed.

Part of the panel felt that plans for a new permanent building should be pursued to enhance the cross-country offering.

However, this would have to be negotiated again with the state forests.

Another part argued in favor of retaining the container solution and moving it to the hiking car park at Schweren Gatter in the summer months.

Manager Acher pointed out, however, that the transport costs of EUR 1,000 per transfer were high.

The third suggestion from the municipal council was to leave the container in the Stocker car park and shut it down in the summer.

Alternatively, dry toilets could be set up at the Schwere Gatter.

Mayor Georg Kittenrainer (CSU) advocated buying the toilet container.

"That's the best solution." Klaus Weilbach (CSU) contradicted: "It's a temporary solution.

A solid building belongs there,” he emphasized, referring to the meeting before the winter.

"The tendency was for a permanent building." Albert Jupé (FW) also agreed: "The cross-country skiing center is an institution, a toilet house belongs there." Florian Müller (non-party) also regarded the container as merely an "emergency solution". .

With a view to tourism, he added that the cross-country skiing center would bring in overnight stays and cross-country trail fees.

In his opinion, a trail house with showers and changing rooms is therefore needed.

Negotiations with state forest difficult

Kittenrainer replied: "The area doesn't belong to us, I don't see a solution for it." Acher also confirmed: "The forestry office doesn't play along with that." The negotiations for the toilet container were not easy.

"And associated with too big hurdles," added Kittenrainer.

"The container was the lowest denominator that we could agree on." Vice-Mayor Egid Stadler (CSU) therefore suggested the municipal ground at the Schwere Gatter for a cross-country ski house, "it would be possible there".

Isidor Scharmann (FWG) took the same line: "If then there, at the back of the Stocker certainly not."

In the end, the municipal council voted against three votes in favor of purchasing the toilet container for 10,600 euros in order to save on the monthly rental and annual transport costs in the future - regardless of the final location.

In addition, according to the tenor, the container for hikers and cross-country skiers is a qualitative improvement compared to the former Dixi toilets.
