This week, after the parallel operation in Jenin and Nablus that ended with the killing of the terrorist who murdered the Hillel Weigel Yaniv brothers in Hawara, the reaction came again from Gaza as in at least four previous cases in the last two and a half months since the sixth Netanyahu government came to power.
In the latter case, the rocket did explode in Palestinian territory, but very close to the fence.
And this was not the only case.
A rocket barrage in January, another shooting at the beginning of February and at least two more cases of rockets being launched from Gaza.
In the latter case, there was no response from the IDF, contrary to the policy of the right-wing government. In the Gaza Otaf communities, they fear a return to the trickle-down routine and expect more severe reactions from the army to each rocket. in Sderot. "We need to intensify the reactions and not return to the trickle-down policy."
Gabbay also says: "I believe that our deterrence will return.
As someone who chose the right side of the political map, I expect much more deterrence than in the previous government.
I hope they understand that terrorism from Gaza only understands harsh reactions and must respond to every rocket fired from Gaza.
For every rocket they must pay a price.
I don't want to think we'll go back to the drips.
That's why we chose a right-wing government."

Maayan Fold Schneor, a resident of Nativ Ha'Tara, is also afraid of warming in the Gaza Strip: "It is sometimes too noisy here. We expect that there will be a deterrent and that they will not contain the rocket fire. We do not want to get back to a situation where we are in a drip routine that quickly becomes the norm."
Since the rise of the right-wing government to power and the resumption of rocket fire, there has been an increase in applications to the Resilience Center in Sderot.
"We are experiencing a renewed increase in the number of inquiries following the security incidents and not only in the Gaza Strip," says the Director of the Resilience Center, Hila Gonen Barzilai.
"Most of the faces come from new families who have arrived in the area and are asking for guidance and direction on how to conduct themselves during an emergency and what is right to tell the children that this situation is new to them."
Gonen Barzilai updated that a few months ago the municipality of Sderot inaugurated a new complex for group therapy in the animal corner at the Resilience Center, which allows for the expansion of the scope of treatments for children.
"Additional activities such as workshops and treatments and group work are carried out in the community in order to strengthen the resilience and coping ability of the residents," she says.
"Life in Sderot and Otef is indeed complex and there are effects on the emotional state, but there is an immediate answer here for every need."
