STRASBOURG -
Two types of measures are expected on the migration front at tomorrow's college of EU commissioners in Strasbourg.
The first will be a communication defining the
European border management
strategy (Eibm) for the next 5 years.
The second will instead be a recommendation to the Member States for the mutual recognition of the decisions of each country on the
repatriation of illegally landed migrants
(making full use of the new Schengen information system).
The two measures, it is further learned, are designed to be immediately operational and respond to the conclusions of the February European Council.
