On October 1, 2020, the bus driver
Pablo Flores
went to work in inmate 75 of line 218, replacing a colleague in Virrey del Pino.
But after 9:00 p.m., two men stopped the bus, approached through the driver's window and without saying a word began to shoot.
Three shots hit Flores in the head, who died instantly.
The two murderers and their accomplice
fled
in a white Peugeot 504.
A few days later,
Adrián Marone and Oscar Ezequiel Vega were arrested,
accused of being responsible for the act.
In a raid part of the investigation they found
two pistols
.
One of these, according to an expert opinion, was the one with which the bus driver was killed.
It belonged to Néstor Marone, the father of one of the defendants.
In addition, they found a
River Plate jacket
, the same one that witnesses to the event indicated as a garment worn by one of the murderers.
Also the
Peugeot 504.
Loved ones made an altar at the place where Pablo Flores was murdered.

More than two years have passed since that event, but
there has still been no justice
.
Lorena, the bus driver's partner, with whom he has two minor children, received
Clarín
at her house.
With unwavering strength, she affirms that the only thing he needs is for "the guilty to pay for what they did."
"Around 9:00 p.m., Pablo sends me a message and tells me 'the black woman is taking the milanesas out of the freezer because they've arrived.'
After that, he never answered me again
," Lorena recalls.
"When I realized that they had killed him, it seems crazy, but the first thing I thought about was whether he had eaten, what he had thought about for the last time, whether he
had suffered
," the woman says through tears.
The main hypothesis is that the attackers
wanted to settle accounts with another driver
and "got confused" by murdering Flores, who was replacing a colleague that night.
Pablo Flores, the bus driver murdered in 2020 by mistake, with his two children.
At the time, Lorena did not understand what had happened or why her husband had been killed in cold blood.
“
He didn't have any problems or get along with anyone
.
She did not understand and could not connect the dots because she did not understand where a settling of accounts of this type could have come from ”.
The trial was a separate chapter in this story.
When Lorena believed that everything was won, she found that
the only defendants were acquitted and released.
The decision was made by the Oral Court in charge of the case, which considered that there were
"deficiencies"
and
"irregularities"
in the investigation.
Oscar Vega and Adrián Marone were released at the time, while Néstor Marone was sentenced to
4 years in prison
for "illegal possession of a weapon of war."
The companions of Pablo Flores demanded justice days after his murder.
To this day, Lorena assures that
she could not forgive
what they did to her husband.
“
I felt helpless, unprotected.
I felt very helpless
.
It was very hard for me.
Above all, hearing them crying saying that they were innocent.
It turned my stomach, ”she recalls, adding:“ It is very difficult to believe in justice.
It's crazy that I'm the one who has to go out into the street for them to act
.
It is terrible to have to go through that, when you have already gone through the death of a family member.
Lorena and her family appealed the decision of the judges and now the case is before the Chamber of Cassation.
They also request the recusal of the prosecutor.
Today, the family has a restraining order in place against Vega and Marone because they received threats after they were released.
All the Flores family wants is for the investigation to continue.
"I have no faith.
What I have is strength to continue with this fight.
I hope that at some point there will be justice
”, Lorena closes tearfully.
