Planetary panic.
Now Mark Zuckerberg was going to attack one of the foundations of public power, money.
Do we remember today the panic aroused at the time by the power of the Facebook empire, likely to participate in electoral manipulation operations (Cambridge Analytica scandal) or to harbor new forms of destabilizing mobilization ("yellow vests" )?
Zuckerberg then seemed to have no other activity than to go to the question in front of all the parliaments of the world, all worried to see so much power concentrated in the hands of a single man, who is moreover so young and so strange.
Facebook is still a powerful network with over 2 billion users.
On the scale of the Meta group, with WhatsApp and Instagram, they are even 3.7 billion.
It is considerable.
