Riots in Sakhnin and Umm El Fahm (section 27a)
Riots and disturbances broke out this evening (Thursday) in Umm al-Fahm and Sakhnin.
During the riots, rioters started throwing stones at police officers, launching fireworks and burning tires.
The police said that they acted this evening to maintain public order on Route 65 in the Vadiara area.
In the meantime, dozens of rioters arrived in the area and started throwing stones at the police.
The police began dispersing the rioters using measures to disperse demonstrations, and arrested two of them.
This is the second night of riots in Umm al-Fahm, following the riots that occurred two days ago on the Temple Mount.
Yesterday, police forces arrived at the location and arrested five boys, after they threw stones at the police.
Additionally, other protesters set off bracelets and threw fireworks at police officers.
During the night, the mayor, Dr. Samir Mahamid, went down to the city square to calm the spirits and prevent escalation.
