Jorge Oscar Galiano and Jorge Ezequiel Zerda are drivers for the Almafuerte company, whose colleagues launched a strike in repudiation of the arrests.

After the attack on Sergio Berni, at midnight on Wednesday they arrested two bus drivers.

They are not from line 620, to which Daniel Barrientos (55) belonged, the driver murdered by whom the protest in which the minister was beaten was held.

The defendants provide service on lines 622 and 378, of the Almafuerte company, in La Matanza.

They are

.

Both were arrested in the western area of the Buenos Aires suburbs.

As

was able to find out , Galiano is 49 years old and has worked for Almafuerte since 1997. Meanwhile, Zerda is 32 and has been an employee of that firm since 2013.

Antonio Petkovsek, a 620 delegate, told this newspaper that they are in permanent assembly and with

service interrupted

until further notice to demand the release of the drivers.

“They had already been notified, they could summon them to testify and that's it.

It was not necessary that they were going to arrest them at night, with that amount of troops, to make a search, to break down doors.

They are not criminals, they are workers

and at no time did they resist,” says Petkovsek.

And he adds: "They dealt with the bus drivers but they do nothing with the murderers of Barrientos, our partner."

Strike in repudiation of the arrests

The drivers of the Almafuerte company, along with those of the 620 and 382, which are from the Nuevo Ideal firm, not only suspended the service but this Wednesday morning they carry out

a cut in Route 3, kilometer 23.

The investigation is in charge of the prosecutor Carlos Fel Rolero Santurian and the judge Luisa María Escrich (Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor Court No. 20), both from the City of Buenos Aires, jurisdiction where the events occurred.

Both were transferred to the headquarters of the Prosecutor's Office, located at 1333 Paseo Colón Avenue, 7th floor of the Buenos Aires district.

Two bus drivers were arrested in the Conurbano as part of the investigation into the assault on Sergio Berni.

They will be investigated on Friday and, after giving a statement, they will regain their freedom, since the crime for which they are accused is releaseable.

Raids were also carried out in the bus companies where the detainees work, to kidnap their personal files.

In these procedures, they seized files and digital material from all the workers on the bus lines.

In this way, they will verify all this information with the videos of the beating of the minister, in search of more responsible.

Therefore, they do not rule out that there are new detainees.
