The attack in the Jordan Valley

Earlier yesterday, 21-year-old and 16-year-old sisters from the Efrat settlement were murdered in a shooting attack on Route 57 near the Hamra intersection in the Jordan Valley.

Aman, 48 years old, was critically injured and in an unstable condition, was evacuated by helicopter to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

The security forces launched a hunt for the terrorists and roadblocks were set up in the area.

A military official said that from the findings at the scene it emerged that the vehicle in which the women were traveling was sprayed by the terrorists, who even made a death certificate afterwards.

According to the source, the security system does not rule out the possibility of a "sophisticated attack", in which the terrorists drove a car, deliberately hit the Israeli car and caused it to veer off the road.

After that, the assailants got out of the vehicle and opened fire at the female passengers.

Confrontations on the Temple Mount and Umm al-Fahm

In the last few days, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and in Arab communities throughout the country, there have been clashes this week between demonstrators and rioters and the security forces.

On Thursday evening, riots and disturbances broke out in Umm al-Fahm, Sakhnin and Baqqa al-Gharbiyya.

During the riots, rioters started throwing stones at police officers, launching fireworks and burning tires.

The police began dispersing the rioters using measures to disperse demonstrations, and arrested two of them.

In the video recorded in Sakhnin, about 20 rioters are seen throwing fireworks at the cars traveling on the road, as they try to hit a police car.

More riots also broke out in Nazareth.

In Baqa al-Gharbiyya, some masked men threw stones at policemen who were there.

Five of them were arrested for possessing fireworks, explosives and a pellet gun, four of them minors.

Yesterday the police asked to extend their detention.

The riots came in response to the events that took place at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

During the event, hundreds of Palestinians barricaded themselves in the mosque after prayer hours and refused to leave.

This, following the calls of the Hamas movement during that day to come to the place during the night in order to "protect the mosque from attempts to sacrifice victims on the eve of Passover".
