In Tel Aviv
Israel took on the appearance of a besieged fortress this weekend.
Attacks increased in the West Bank, Tel Aviv, and on the border with Syria, as tension rose near Lebanon and in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Benyamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister at the head of a government which includes far-right parties willingly going to war, has given the green light to moderate reprisals for the moment.
The toll, however, is heavy.
On Friday, two young Israeli women driving through the Jordan Valley were killed, while their mother was seriously injured by gunfire from another vehicle.
In the evening, an Italian tourist was mown down to death by a ramming car along the Tel Aviv promenade.
The attacker, an Israeli Arab, was shot dead.
In the north of the country, two salvoes of rockets were fired from Syria towards the Golan Heights, occupied by Israel, without causing any injuries or damage.
