An event of low media impact but of high spiritual intensity took place in Paris: the death of a young priest.
On March 14, Father Cyril Gordien died of a dazzling cancer.
He was 48 years old.
He was parish priest of the Saint-Dominique church, in the 14th arrondissement.
At his funeral, in the church of Saint-Pierre de Montrouge, whose high white stone bell tower marks the entrance to Paris after the Porte d'Orléans, were present 6 bishops, 250 priests and nearly 2,000 faithful.
Not to mention the testimonies from all over France since this priest had been national chaplain of the Scouts of Europe movement.
This farewell mass, according to the witnesses, marked by its density those who were present there.
Even wider, his “spiritual testament”, a text of about forty pages written by this soul of fire and entitled “Priest in the heart of suffering” continues to radiate on the internet and leaves no one indifferent.
