The war in Ukraine has entered a new phase, which should see the Ukrainians regain the initiative.
They did not let go of Bakhmout, where fierce fighting has been going on since the summer.
Above all, they defeated the Russian offensive which, barely launched at the start of the year, was exhausted.
Despite the stalemate on the ground, the Kremlin has not given up on any of its objectives in Ukraine.
“The only way to stop the Russians is to drive them out of the country.
And we are going to do it this year”,
recently promised Andriy Zagorodnyuk, former Ukrainian Minister of Defense, in the Geopolitical Meetings of the Jean Jaurès Foundation.
The date of the counter-offensive, he adds,
“depends on the arrival of Western arms”.
Ukrainians learn

assures a European official involved in their training.
“Let's be clear: it's not about making the best battalion in the world, but just a better battalion than the one opposite.
