There is a well-known story and another not so much.
After the aggression of the bus drivers against
Sergio Berni
, they assure that in the Province there was a
round trip
and
a lot of confusion
due to the response that the government of
Axel Kicillof
finally adopted in the face of a situation of extreme tension that continues to generate aftershocks today.
At first, Berni himself assured that he would not make any judicial presentation against his attackers, showing some empathy and respect to the colleagues and family of the murdered driver Daniel Barrientos, in the town of Virrey del Pino.
In the Province and among various mayors of Greater Buenos Aires, the attitude adopted by the minister was received as an
intelligent gesture
to decompress the climate that he himself generated when he decided to break into the middle of the demonstration.
As is now a custom: "a la Rambo, with the air of a compadrito, but without custody and in pursuit of dialogue."
Berni and Kicillof did not make the same decision when it came to denouncing the bus drivers.
But
everything changed
because of a
call from Cristina Kirchner
.
Several sources, both in the Province and among the mayors of the GBA, indicated that the Vice President did not like Berni's
sudden leniency
at all .
Especially when they told her (she didn't need to be convinced) that behind the attack and the murder of the bus driver there could be
a strategy orchestrated by the opposition
to affect Kicillof's candidacy and, by elevation, herself.
That was when he would have ordered Kicillof to retort, far from unsaddling: finally the Minister of Justice, Julio Alak,
made the complaint that Berni did not want to make.
Many say they see Cristina's hand when La Provincia decided to denounce the bus drivers and install the conspiracy theory.
"The first nonsense was to see the 'crazy' (that's what they call Berni) fall handsome in a helicopter. But after the attack, the minister's reaction was quite sensible, trying to remain calm
and
showing solidarity with both the other drivers and especially with the relatives of the victim", analyzed a Peronist chief who manages a large municipality in the South of the GBA.
And he added: "Several mayors
were surprised by what happened next
. Axel's response
was a
gross mistake
. He did almost everything that should not be done. The decision to appear on television trying to install the theory of an alleged armed conspiracy from No one believed it in the opposition.
Especially among our voters
. It was as if he wanted to wash his hands and not assume his responsibility. In addition, he gave some strange details such as when he stated that a car had crossed the bus in some kind of operational command".
After ordering to denounce the bus drivers who attacked Berni, Cristina tweeted to condemn the operation to arrest the attackers.
"The incredible thing about it all is that minutes later, the cameras broadcast by Berni
denied
what the Governor had claimed. Trascartón appeared Alak reporting that he had denounced the bus drivers, as if insinuating that the drivers had agreed with the opposition to set up an ambush. An unnecessary and difficult
provocation
to understand", concluded.
That's where they say Cristina got
involved
.
They say that the Vice President would have directly called Alak to make the complaint and
then forced Kicillof to appear on television to install the theory of a conspiracy
and point out the opposition.
Nothing new: a plot was
also
denounced to explain the repression of the Buenos Aires Police in the match between Gimnasia and Boca in La Plata.
The same thing happened in the disappearance of Facundo Astudillo.
In both tragedies there was talk of "a return from the police to file down Kicillof."
There was never
any evidence to support such theories.
Gabriel Alejandro Barone, the second arrested for the crime of the bus driver Daniel Barrientos, in Virrey del Pino, was detected by the police after arresting his cousin, who would have gone to look for those who participated in the assault.
After having ordered the complaint, Cristina reportedly took note of the error when she saw on television the excessive operation of the Buenos Aires police to arrest the bus drivers.
It was the
first time
that she spoke out about the crime:
she published a tweet
condemning the police action and recalled how lucky she is for the "bullet that did not go out".
"It is very rare that Cristina goes out to speak publicly about an event of these characteristics. She almost never did. It seems to us that the images of the command that Berni himself formed scared her and perhaps she understood that going out to confront in the midst of so much pain and anger could generate a huge
cost
with a sector of society that usually identifies with Peronism," they analyzed in the Province.
Close to Berni they do not give too much importance to the
difference in criteria
.
And they ratify their decision not to accuse any of the bus drivers.
"It is something that they must explain from the Government. It seems to us that now we do not gain anything with the complaint. Still, from what we know, no progress was made with the accusation," they indicated.
In the Province they denied to
Clarín
that there had been such a change in strategy in the response of the Governor for the case of the murdered driver.
From the Ministry of Security they defended the operation to arrest the two bus drivers, despite Cristina's own criticism.
And they justify the action "to comply with the
protocols
of the force and the protection of the police."
They also explained how they got to the
only detainee
so far, named Barone.
The curious thing is that the way in which the prosecution managed to detect and catch him is perhaps the most conclusive proof that behind the murder of Barrientos there would not have been any commando team of professional criminals as they tried to install from the Province.
There was actually a first detainee also named Barone who is not the one who is behind bars today.
That first Barone was caught thanks to the cell phone that was stolen from a passenger on the bus.
That phone
kept transmitting
and that's how the police arrived at the place where the criminals had burned the car that was used in the assault.
When the troops arrived, those who participated in the robbery had already left but they saw a man in a suspicious situation.
They arrested him and when they took him to the police station he said that his last name was Barone but that he worked as a taxi driver and had nothing to do with the incident.
Then, already in the prosecutor's office, they managed to reach
the other Barone,
who is the cousin of the first.
That he was arrested accused of participating in the robbery that ended with the death of the bus driver.
