Five people were arrested in the Hauts-de-France region after the seizure of 410 kg of cannabis resin and more than 400,000 euros in criminal assets, the judicial police announced on Wednesday.

The operations took place in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais in the municipalities of Cuincy, Hénin-Beaumont, Roubaix and Douai, they said.

At the end of these operations "
409 kg of cannabis resin returning directly from Spanish territory from where they had been transported by Go-Fast type convoy during the night, were seized by the Lille judicial police", representing
a value resale "
well over a million euros
".
In addition, "
a 9 mm caliber handgun, a cash sum of 32,000 euros, bank accounts, nine vehicles as well as luxury items (watches, clothing) for a value of approximately 400,000 euros were also seized
".
Four men, "
already unfavorably known to the judicial police
" and a woman manager of a transport company were arrested.
These five people were presented Tuesday to the investigating judge in charge of the case and were indicted according to a source close to the case.
In March, nine people were arrested in Hauts-de-France, and more than half a ton of cannabis was seized, in two operations against drug networks imported from Spain.
