Powerless, we are witnessing the second death of French textiles.
Of course, the French have not stopped wearing clothes or shoes, but their habits have changed.
Their new idols are the champions of “fast-fashion” (Zara, H & M, Uniqlo…), who renew their inexpensive collections at a frantic pace;
online shopping, which gives access to all the clothes in one click, and the brands of the planet, discounters, such as the Irish Primark, or second-hand clothes (Vinted) that are particularly fond of youth.
Buy smart, limit waste, while cultivating a clear conscience... The formula is a winner.
Faced with these developments, French brands, neither glamorous, nor cheap, hardly innovative...
