Concern over the state of Ukrainian air defense

The winter offensive failed only partially.

Russian strikes against energy infrastructure, intended to literally freeze their Ukrainian adversaries to death, have not achieved their strategic objective.

Helped by fortunately sufficiently mild temperatures, the population held on and the network was repaired as much as possible.

Russian fire interception rates were particularly high.

But salvos of cheap missiles and drones have exhausted Ukraine's air defenses.

The situation is worrying.

While the leaked Pentagon documents should be read with caution, especially since they date from late February, they raise the crucial issue of remaining Ukrainian missile stockpiles.

The ability to defend its front line could be totally reduced from May 23, assures one of the documents, which lists the systems delivered by the West in addition to the S 300 which Ukraine had.
