The French luxury sector has never done so well.
Logically, the Fashion and Haute Couture Federation has never been so “powerful”.
Its members, including our luxury "Gafa" (Chanel, Hermès, Kering, LVMH) now represent around 75 billion euros in cumulative turnover, twice as much as ten years ago.
The missions of the Federation, a major organizer of Fashion Week, have in fact been expanded, in particular due to security issues and places to host the shows.
But it must also now defend the interests of its members while a battle is currently being played out in the government and the European Parliament over the new environmental labeling regulations which oppose them to fast fashion and sports equipment manufacturers.
