In a British house, the owner was surprised to find an old bunker hidden under his garden when
he began remodeling that area to complete the "chill out" area.
Sam, a 34-year-old plumber, was leveling the lawn and found something that shocked him: apparently a World War II bunker.
As indicated by Daily Mail, which shared the photos, the man used the strange place to take a bath.
While digging he came across the underground bunker.
How was the find?
"We originally found it in 2019 while I was digging and leveling the garden to lay a new lawn," the Briton reconstructs the incredible situation.
And he continues his story: “My shovel went through the ground into the void and my father-in-law came over to take a look.
We discovered the old barrel roof and the stone stairs
. "
"My father-in-law David suggested we keep digging. I didn't really like it, but I was really glad I listened. It took us a few days to dig it up and get all the dirt and bricks out by hand," he says.
Sam shows how he transformed the basement into a bathroom next to the garden of his house.
He also notes that at first he thought it was a basement of an old house that had collapsed, but some people contacted me to say it
looked like an old bunker
, maybe from World War II.
From bunker to bathroom
The old underground bunker ended up becoming a
fabulous bathroom
for the bar they have next to the garden.
Some images of the finished project show
a sloped ceiling and a small wooden door
, with stairs leading to the bathroom.
That means friends and family don't have to move indoors when enjoying a drink on the outdoor lawn.
This is what the bathroom they did after finding the room hidden underground looks like.
"I have a nice big garden and
a man cave bar
so it's good for entertaining and this way my friends don't have to use the house," explains the property owner.
