On April 24, 2022, Emmanuel Macron was re-elected with just over 58% of the vote against Marine Le Pen.
A year later, the President of the Republic is struggling to extricate himself from a pension reform that has caused a political crisis in the country.
On this occasion, La France Insoumise and the anti-globalization NGO Attac call on the French to gather Monday evening at 8 p.m. in front of all the town halls for a
“concert of saucepans”.
The organization even unearthed a vindictive slogan for the event:
“In one year, Macron made us lose two.”
A reference to the postponement of the legal age of departure from 62 to 64, a flagship measure of the reform.
In its visual, Attac also evokes a
“giant saucepan”
and displays several members of the executive, including Olivier Dussopt, Gérald Darmanin, Olivier Véran, Élisabeth Borne and of course Emmanuel Macron, who carries a saucepan on his head.
All this, accompanied by this offensive comment: “
They are soon cooked, we do not let them go.
Since the head of state's televised address on Monday, the sound of pans has become one of the symbols of opposition to pension reform.
This parasitizes all government travel in recent days.
