A taxi driver ran over a motorcyclist in the cab after warning him about reckless driving (documentation on social networks according to section 27a of the Copyright Law)
Omar Abu Khalifa, a resident of Jaffa in his 30s, was run over last weekend by a taxi driver, after he warned him about reckless driving.
In the documentation obtained by Walla!, Abu Khalifa can be seen stopping next to a taxi in the area of Yigal Alon corner Mozes in Tel Aviv, and turning to the taxi driver, when suddenly - the driver turns towards him and pushes him against the wall with the taxi.
As a result, Abu Khalifa was injured in all parts of his body and he was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Abu Khalifa's acquaintances said that he saw the taxi driver driving at a crosswalk at high speed, and asked him to drive more slowly.
"You almost ran over a woman," he remarked.
The taxi driver, who did not like this comment, started driving towards him, knocking him off the motorcycle.
During the stampede, a passer-by opened the taxi door and shouted at the driver, and he drove back.
"He is in shock, can't speak and doesn't sleep at night," said one of his acquaintances, the footballer and former deputy mayor of Tel Aviv Rafat (Jimmy) Turk.
"He is a good guy, married with children. In the run-over, he fell on his back and was injured in other parts of his body - in the stomach, leg, broke a finger. If it had been the other way around and the driver was Arab, you know what would have happened to him," he added.
The police have yet to respond.
