President Yitzhak Herzog this evening (Monday) told the story of military plot number 9 in the Mount Herzl cemetery in his speech at the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Western Wall.

Everyone - of all colors, countries of origin, professions and lifestyles, everyone They believed in the rise of Israel in their country, they all dreamed of the State of Israel, they all wanted to build and be built in it. They all paid with their lives the price of the common national home, here in the land of our homeland."

The President emphasized that the victims of Plot 9, and like them all the military plots, in their diversity, reflect the necessity to rise above differences and disputes and build the national home together: "All the military cemeteries reflect well for us that our fallen heroes over the years, Jews, Druze, Muslims, Christians, etc. Rexes, women and men, immigrants and veterans, from all over the country, from all beliefs, opinions and worldviews, gave their souls out of adherence to the deep existential necessity - to build together, in partnership, more and more floors in our Israeli home.
