Moosburg

– It was hot on Saturday in Moosburg, more precisely in the youth center: there two bands heated up their audience, whereby one formation has to be given special attention in this regard.

The school band Khaos from the Kastulus-Realschule Moosburg played their way straight and unerringly into the hearts of the guests after just a few notes - with skill, charm and a clearly noticeable love for music and its magic.

The stage was small, actually far too small for Khaos, who had to move close together at times so that everyone had space.

The students from grades 5 to 10 of the Moosburg Realschule cover songs that are close to their hearts - such as "Creep" by Radiohead or "I Love Rock'n'Roll" by Joan Jett.

That alone wouldn't be great art per se if it weren't for that certain something with Khaos - a joy of interpretation and the special verve to give these songs their very own mood.

The students are all undoubtedly great talents who are just starting out and therefore bring a wonderful charm to the stage - that charm that you only ever feel and notice when something big is about to happen.

Everyone was allowed to try

Khaos played his way through the modern songbook on Saturday, consistently avoiding the usual outdated classics, which is why the concert got its very own drive.

And you hardly see that nowadays either: everyone was allowed to try themselves and everyone became a hero of that night.

That's how music works and that's how music has to be able to take place - on a small scale, without becoming irrelevant.

The stage as a gallery for a dream trip, the songs as hand luggage.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

And because everything was so uncomplicated and simply dedicated to the magic of music, the concert by the newcomers was heart-rending and heart-touching.

What a listener would wish for: Khaos should write his own songs, should sing about what moves her - in his own words and melodies.

Wonderfully and accurately rocked

After a good hour there was a rapid change on stage and old hands entered the stage: namely the formation Luis Lunchbox from the greater Munich area, who performed songs like "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton or "Paint It Black" by the Stones that made amps shake.

Experienced, with a lot of blues soul and the love for nostalgic journeys, Luis Lunchbox rocked the JUZ wonderfully and unerringly.

Such concerts, where newcomers meet experienced rock musicians, are clearly needed more in the district.

Moosburg has made a good restart there.
