When
choosing a name
for a child, there are those who opt for a simple or traditional one.
Other parents opt for those that are in fashion, and those who are more risky resort to the family tree to dust off that of a great-grandparent, even if it has ceased to be used.
However, more and more cases of
names breaking the mold
are coming to light .
Examples are characters from series or movies, some exotic plant, countries and even food.
But there is a woman from the UK who swears
no one believes her when she reveals her only name
.
"I have to show the document," she assures herself and swears that no one else is called the particular name her father chose.
Flint admits that she loves his name and is a fan of the pop foursome.
It is named after a popular music group
The woman in question was born in 1983, hails from the West Midlands and notes that she has never met anyone with the same name in her life, so it is not surprising that she is often asked about it.
He is named after
his father's favorite '80s band: the Swedish group ABBA.

- thus his only name - is the product of his family's fanaticism for the Stockholm singers who marked an era and became a classic.
"If I had £1 for every time someone questioned my unique name,
I would be a millionaire
," she told

ABBA
Abba, a
40-year-old mother of two
, loves the pop band;
she even she is on his
wish list of her to meet them.
"I love the name," she says.
"My father chose my name and he wanted something different. They were fans of the band and he thought it would be amazing to call me Abba," he explained.
“When I was a kid, everyone made comments about it.
They were confused by how she was spelled," the woman adds today.

"normal names", Mandy and Lee.
And that over time, in adult life, Abba
shortened her name to "Abs"

confused with Abi or Abigail.

"I hate the name Abigail and I have never denied my name. But if I said Abba to everyone I know, they would always stop me, so I usually say Abs," he confided to the British media.

They think it's a nickname and I have to show the document
or work credential for them to believe me", admits who acknowledges that beyond surprise, he usually receives praise.
Abba tells another anecdote: "When I was taking my driving test, I remember the man looking at my details and telling me he was a big ABBA fan. 'I think your name is amazing,' he said.

Luckily, Abba is a
huge fan
of the iconic Swedish group and remembers the time her friends and family
sang 'Dancing Queen' for her at the age of 17.
"It was epic. I can totally relate to ABBA's music. It's on my bucket list to meet them and tell them they put their name on me," he admitted.
"I go to see the ABBA tribute shows and I was very excited about their new album. I play it to my children and tell them that I am named after them, they think it's great," he admits.
