Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the firefighters of SDIS 06 were called for an apartment fire in the Liberation district, in Nice.
Thirty firefighters and eight machines were dispatched to the site, rue Marceau, where they managed to control the fire without difficulty.

In all likelihood, the explosion of an electric scooter battery was the cause of the fire.
Its owner, a 14-year-old boy, was seriously injured in the explosion.
He was taken care of by the emergency services and transported to the Pasteur hospital in Nice.
His vital prognosis was not engaged at the time of his hospitalization.
