Two protesters against the legal revolution were arrested this evening (Thursday) after demonstrating in front of Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat at the "Turquoise" restaurant in the "C & Sun" complex in Tel Aviv.

About ten protesters who responded to the various calls in the WhatsApp and Telegram groups arrived at the scene.

A fight broke out between the protesters and Minister Barkat's security guards, and some time later police forces arrived at the restaurant.

While trying to keep the protesters away from the scene, the police claim, the police officers were attacked by some of the protesters, and one of the police officers slightly injured his leg and was taken for treatment.

During the arrest, Minister Barkat was seen turning to one of the protesters and saying something to him.

The two arrested are twin brothers in their twenties.

Outside the police station in Raul Wallenberg, where the detainees were taken, several protesters began to gather.

Attorney Iris Shmueli, who is supposed to represent the two, said: "I have not been allowed to see the detainees for half an hour, who has heard of such a thing?

This is a scandal.

Apparently the police don't know the rules.

They are spreading a rumor that they attacked the policemen, if you watch the videos you will understand who attacked whom.

Those who were with them say that they were violently arrested."

Minister Barkat's office said in response to the case: "Minister Nir Barkat and his staff were violently attacked a short time ago, when Minister Nir Barkat was on his way to his car in Tel Aviv. A number of rioters physically confronted the minister's security guards and policemen while trying to reach him and hurt him. The minister's security guards and the policemen protected him with their bodies The rioters also violently attacked the policemen, one policeman was taken by ambulance to receive medical treatment at a hospital. Several attackers were arrested by the policemen on the spot."

Minister Nir Barkat added: "There is no excuse for violence. Violence undermines the foundation of democracy and may lead to the destruction of the country and our transformation into a country without law and order. I wish a speedy recovery to the police officer who was injured and was taken to the hospital. Everyone has the right to demonstrate, but no one has the right to act violently." ".

The reservist protest "Brothers in Arms" responded: "Two arrested outstanding soldiers who demonstrated in front of Nir Barkat who dined his good heart at the Turquoise restaurant. All their sin is that they decided to tell him that he is tearing the people apart and that he has sold himself to the congregation. Come support them at the police station in Raul Wallenberg Ramat the soldier".
