A man in his 40s, a resident of Bat Yam, was arrested today (Friday) after opening fire in the lobby of the Dan Panorama Hotel in Eilat.
The police said that the circumstances of the incident are being investigated, and that there were no injuries.
At this time, the reason for the shooting is unknown.
The police reported that "immediately upon receiving the report, police forces arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect, and the gun was seized. The suspect was handed over for questioning."
The Dan Panorama Hotel reported: "A citizen who is staying at the hotel on a private vacation and belongs to the security forces accidentally fired a bullet from his personal weapon. Fortunately for us there were no casualties and no damage was caused, the police were immediately called to the hotel and the issue is under investigation."
